When obtaining quotes, ensure that they are 'like-for-like' quotes (same model/age/features/options etc.)
When buying reconditioned equipment, ensure that the company are approved suppliers - they may not be able to supply spare parts
Understand the warranty offered (e.g. does '24-hour callout' mean call out attendance 24 hours a day, or within 24 hours?)
Check the price! New stairlifts start from as low as £1400 - including installation

A: Some manufacturers have a constant charge, others automatically recharge when the lift is at the top or bottom of the stairs.
