DOLPHIN MOBILTY

Wheelchair lifts are designed for two-storey accommodation, used by wheelchair users and people who have restricted mobility. They are commonly described as vertical lifts, platform lifts, through floor lifts, disabled lifts or homelifts. Small lifts that will fit into any home they provide freedom of the whole house. Home wheelchair lifts can be located in any downstairs room and move up through an aperture in the ceiling to the room above (usually the user's bedroom). When not in use the lifts can be parked at either level, leaving maximum living space available.

In 1983 John Pollock set out to design a through floor lift which would use the latest technology but look like a crafted item of furniture.

His vision was to give people the freedom to enjoy living.

Against all the odds, and in the face of scepticism, he perservered and can rightfully be hailed as the man who transformed the through floor lift. Today Pollock Lifts continue to challenge the conventional.

Three themes have run through all Pollocks Lifts since the earliest days - quality, design and safety. The number of Pollocks Lifts still in use long after they were built is testament to their quality. Our designs continue to lead, with you the user clearly in mind.

As for fire safety, we pioneered electronic links from smoke alarms to return the lift to the first floor automatically as smoke is detected. Today we are still pioneering added safety in our lifts. For over 30 years Wessex , a British Company and a member of the Ratcliff Group, has been regarded as one of the country's market leaders for design, manufacture and supply of innovative lifting products that help provide access for the less able.
