Bison Bede produce a large range of stairlifts for residential use. Bison Stair Lifts are only available to buy from authorised dealers such as Dolphin. Reputed to be Europe's oldest established stairlift manufacturer, Freelift brought the original idea of a stairlift back from America in the late 1950's. In terms of design, manufacture and experience you can be sure that Freelift is at the forefront of the industry. Freelift manufacture their Van Gogh and Rembrandt curved stairlifts in Holland, and have been serving the UK market for about 5 years. MediTek have been making stairlifts in the UK since the early 90s. MediTek were the fist company to use an integrated constant charging system (ICCC) that allows the stair lift to be charged wherever you park it on the stairs. Several other manufacturers have now followed suit. Meditek were also one of the first to use an automatic powered folding track to keep doorways clear.
Minivator have been selling stairlifts since the early 1980s, for many years they were a division of the Sunrise Medical Corporation. Following a management buyout in 2000 Minivator have grown from strength to strength and are now one of the worlds largest producers of stairlifts. They now have a comprehensive cost effective range of stairlifts to choose from Stannah Stairlifts are the World's largest manufacturer of straight and curved Stairlifts, and probably the most well known. Dolphin have been supplying and installing Stannah products for many years, and are one of their largest trade customers. A new Stannah fitted by Dolphin is every bit as good, but usually cheaper than dealing direct with the Manufacturer.
